5. How We Protect Your Data

We use security controls designed to help protect your information from unauthorized access, alteration, or disclosure.

Private Document Storage

Uploaded documents are stored in private cloud storage and are not stored in a publicly accessible document bucket.

Temporary Document Links

When you open a document, DocketPocket generates a temporary signed link to the private document. These links expire after a short period of time to reduce the risk associated with long-lived shared links.

Access Controls

Access controls are used to help ensure that users can access documents associated with their own accounts.

Authentication

Protected areas of DocketPocket require authentication and an authenticated user session.

6. What Happens When You Delete a Document

You can currently delete uploaded documents individually from DocketPocket.

When you delete a document through the application, the associated document record and uploaded file are removed according to our deletion process.

Once a document has been deleted, you should not rely on DocketPocket to retain or restore that document.

7. Account and Data Deletion

Full account deletion is not currently available as a self-service feature within DocketPocket.

Until account deletion functionality is available, you can delete your uploaded documents individually from your account.

If you require assistance with account-related data deletion, please contact us through our Contact Us page.

8. Data Retention

We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide DocketPocket, maintain accounts, provide support, maintain security, meet legal obligations, and resolve disputes.

When information is no longer required, we aim to delete or securely dispose of it in accordance with applicable requirements and our policies.

9. Third-Party Services

DocketPocket relies on third-party services for certain functionality, including cloud storage, authentication, document processing, artificial intelligence, payment processing, and email delivery.

These services may process information as necessary to provide their respective functionality.
