Cancellation & Renewal Policy

Last updated: August 26, 2026

1. Overview

DocketPocket offers Free, Basic, and Professional plans. This page explains how paid subscriptions, renewals, cancellations, and plan changes work.

2. Free Plan

The Free plan does not require a paid subscription and does not automatically renew as a paid subscription.

You can continue using the Free plan while it is available, subject to the features, usage limits, storage limits, and other conditions applicable to the Free plan.

If you upgrade from the Free plan to a paid plan, your account will be subject to the billing terms of the paid plan selected.

3. Basic and Professional Plans

Basic and Professional plans are recurring paid subscriptions.

When you subscribe to a paid plan, your subscription remains active for the selected billing period and automatically renews unless you cancel it before the next renewal.

Your payment method will be charged according to the applicable price and billing interval shown when you subscribe.

4. Monthly Subscriptions

  • Monthly subscriptions are charged one month at a time.
  • The subscription automatically renews each month unless cancelled.
  • You can cancel your subscription before the next renewal.
  • Cancellation prevents the next automatic renewal.
  • You retain access to your paid plan until the end of the current paid billing period.
  • After the paid period ends, your account moves to the Free plan.

5. Annual Subscriptions

  • Annual subscriptions are charged for the selected annual billing period.
  • The subscription automatically renews at the end of the annual period unless cancelled.
  • Cancellation prevents the next automatic renewal.
  • You retain access to your paid plan until the end of the current paid billing period.
  • After the paid period ends, your account moves to the Free plan.

6. How Cancellation Works

You can cancel your paid subscription using the subscription management functionality available in DocketPocket.

Cancellation is scheduled for the end of your current paid billing period rather than ending your paid access immediately.

Your subscription may continue to appear as Active while cancellation is scheduled. This does not necessarily mean that cancellation failed.

7. What Happens After Cancellation

When cancellation is successfully scheduled:

Paid Plan

Remains active until the current billing period ends

Paid subscription ends

Account moves to Free

Your account and documents are not automatically deleted solely because you cancel your paid subscription.

8. Free Plan After Cancellation

When a Basic or Professional subscription ends, the account moves to the Free plan.

Your account is not deleted and your uploaded documents are not automatically deleted solely because your paid subscription ended.

Free plan limits apply after the paid subscription ends.

If your account exceeds a limit applicable to the Free plan, certain functionality may be restricted until your usage is within the applicable limits or you upgrade to a paid plan.

9. Reversing a Scheduled Cancellation

If your subscription has been scheduled for cancellation but has not yet ended, DocketPocket may allow you to resume the subscription.

If the cancellation is successfully reversed before the subscription ends, the subscription can continue according to its applicable billing schedule.

10. Failed Payments

If a recurring payment fails, Stripe may retry the payment according to its billing process.

Your access to paid features may be affected if the payment cannot be successfully completed.

You may need to update your payment method or resolve the billing issue to continue using paid features.

11. Cancellation and Refunds

Cancellation and refunds are separate matters.

Cancelling a subscription prevents future renewal but does not automatically create a refund for the current billing period.

Refund requests are handled according to the applicable DocketPocket refund policy.

12. Changes to Pricing

DocketPocket may change subscription pricing in the future.

Where required, users will receive appropriate notice before pricing changes take effect.

13. Subscription Status

Subscription status may remain active until the end of the current billing period even when cancellation has been scheduled.

Billing and subscription information may be processed through Stripe and synchronized with DocketPocket to maintain your account's subscription status.

14. Contact Us

15. Updates to This Policy

We may update this Cancellation & Renewal Policy as DocketPocket evolves or as applicable requirements change.

When we make changes, we will update the date shown at the top of this page.
